Ukrainian forces have attacked Russian oil refineries at least 21 times so far in August, destroying the country’s fuel supplies and creating widespread gas shortages.
The attacks are the most of any single month since the war began, according to a tally of public statements from both countries, Bloomberg reported.
The strikes have crippled Russian gas supplies and caused long lines across the country as people share tips on social media for where to find the scarce and essential resource.
