If you're running out of new shows to watch this fall, it might be time to subscribe to a new streaming service, but not every option out there is going to be worth your money. That said, you can't go wrong with Paramount Plus, especially if you're a fan of CBS shows like "Survivor" and "NCIS" or want to watch NFL on CBS games. Plus, now's a great time to get a discounted subscription with the current Paramount Plus deal.
While the deal is live, Paramount Plus is offering a 50% discount on your first year of either of its annual plans. That brings the price of the Essential plan down from $59.99 to $29.99 and the price of the Premium Plan down from $119.99 to $59.99. Paramount Plus's annual plans already offer great value compared to similar streaming services, and this discount sweetens the deal even more, as you can essentially score one year of the ad-free plan for the typical price of one year of the ad-supported plan.

Keep in mind that the deal only applies to your first year of Paramount Plus. Once that has passed, your subscription will automatically renew at the then-standard price, currently $59.99 a year for the Essential plan or $119.99 a year for the Premium plan. That said, you can cancel at any time.
Showtime's "Yellowjackets" is available to stream with the Paramount Plus Premium plan.

Paramount Plus deal: Frequently asked questions
When does the Paramount Plus deal end?
The Paramount Plus deal is live now and will continue until September 18, so you still have two weeks left to subscribe.
What's the difference between Paramount Plus Essential and Paramount Plus Premium?
Both Paramount Plus Essential and Paramount Plus Premium are available in monthly and annual payment options. The Essential plan, which typically costs $7.99 a month or $59.99 a year, offers access to the streamer's entire on-demand catalog and select live sports supported by ads.
The Premium Plan, which typically costs $12.99 a month or $119.99 a year, is ad-free, except for live programming. It also gives you live access to your local CBS station and Showtime's full library of titles, including hits like "Yellowjackets," "Dexter," and more. This tier was formerly called Paramount Plus with Showtime.
Keep in mind that only the annual versions of the Essential and Premium Plans are included in the current promotion, so monthly subscribers will not be eligible for the 50% off discount. Even without the deal, we suggest subscribing to one of the annual plans, as they offer a much better value.
