OKLAHOMA CITY — A man of few words, Nikola Jokic was concise with his thoughts on the Lu Dort flagrant foul that provoked him Friday night.

“Unnecessary move, and a necessary reaction,” Jokic said. “There is no such thing — I think there’s not supposed to be those things on a basketball floor. So it was just an unnecessary move (by Dort) and a necessary reaction by me.”

Jokic was running up the floor during the fourth quarter after Oklahoma City scored when Dort veered out of the way to trip him. The Nuggets center got to his feet and confronted Dort, getting in the Thunder wing’s face. A shoving match with Jaylin Williams ensued. Dort was ejected with a flagrant two foul call after the officials reviewed the replay of the incident. Jokic and Williams got matching technicals.

Jokic said he was confident he wouldn’t be ejected.

“I’m not gonna comment,” he said when asked about the exchange with Williams. “It’s not worth it.”
