Netflix executive and film producer Kevin Baillie was fired from his job for allegedly using medically prescribed ketamine after the loss of his mother. The vice president and head of creative at Eyeline Studios revealed his drug use during a “vulnerability-trust exercise” at Netflix’s Sendero Ranch in Northern California. At the retreat, which took place in January 2026, Baillie revealed that he was medically prescribed the general anesthetic for his clinical depression following his mom’s death. He claimed at the January 2026 retreat that he had taken the drug under medical supervision in October and November of 2022. In April 2026, Baillie was fired from his Netflix job, at which he makes an estimated $1.1 million annually. The company’s attorney confirmed that “the ketamine therapy issue has factored into the termination,” and that the 48-year-old exec was denied severance pay. Baillie has filed a lawsuit against the media and entertainment company, in which Baillie claims he was investigated for alleged profanity, alcohol usage, and his comments made at the retreat. According to the New York Post, Baillie is seeking compensatory damages, lost wages, damages for emotional distress, punitive damages, and a trial by jury.
