MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - A difficult night unfolded for a snake catcher in South Carolina after he struggled to capture a huge python slithering along the side of the road.

The Snake Chaser, a local wildlife removal and management service in Myrtle Beach, was called after a woman spotted the massive snake in the roadway.
"I was driving down our street on Monday evening around 9 p.m. when I saw what appeared to be a large snake coming out of the creek and woods that run behind our houses. I then turned around, and the snake was in the street," Tracy Stout told Storyful.
"I wasn’t afraid of it, as it was being mellow and relaxed, but I knew there was no way I was going to try to pick up a snake that was 10 feet plus," she continued.

In video footage taken by Stout, the snake catcher was seen attempting to move the massive python across a lawn and into a bucket.

The snake initially tried to slither away before the catcher threw a blanket over the animal and tackled it.
He then tried to place the python into a bucket, but the determined snake continued trying to escape.
After several attempts, the catcher was eventually able to get the snake into the container.

"I’ve since spoken with the Snake Chaser, and they have him in an enclosure," Stout said. "They’re trying to wait for an owner to come forward, and if not, they will send the snake either to a rescue or rehome him."
