Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin has been called out for pushing the bogus claim that hordes of heavily pregnant Chinese women are rushing to the U.S. to secure American citizenship for their children.
Mullin made the claim during an appearance on Fox News Wednesday, speaking after the Supreme Court struck down President Donald Trump’s bid to end birthright citizenship for millions of Americans.
On Tuesday, in a6-3 vote, the court ruled that the 80-year-old president lacked the authority to override the citizenship potections guaranteed under the 14th Amendment, which states: “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States.”
