How to watch Survivor 50 in the US
Survivor airs on CBS on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET in the United States. Cord-cutters looking to stream the series have several options, the cheapest of which is Paramount Plus. With the $9 a month Paramount Plus Essential tier, you can watch ad-supported episodes the day after their broadcast airdate.
If you'd prefer to watch live, you can upgrade to the $14 a month Paramount Plus Premium tier, which unlocks live streams of your local CBS station. This tier also comes with ad-free on-demand content and Showtime programming.
If you'd prefer an app that carries other live channels beyond just CBS, then a live TV streaming service might be of interest. DirecTV and Fubo are two of the best CBS-friendly options we've tested.
CBS is available in several DirecTV plans, including the pricier Signature options. You can also find it in the MyNews genre pack, which costs $40 a month and comes with around 10 channels. Local channel coverage has some regional variation, so make sure to double-check what's available in your ZIP code before subscribing. All DirecTV plans come with a five-day free trial for new customers.
CBS is also available in multiple Fubo plans, including Sports + News, Pro, and Elite. Sports + News is the cheapest of the bunch. The plan comes with around 26 channels and access to ESPN Unlimited. Sports + News subscriptions cost $56 a month, but first-time customers can get $10 off their first month after a five-day free trial.

This year, Survivor fans in Australia will need a subscription to Stan to watch the new season, a shake-up from the free 9Now option available in past years. Subscriptions start at $12 a month for the Basic tier, but you can upgrade for perks or get the Sports add-on if you're looking for even more content Down Under.
How to watch Survivor 50 from anywhere
If you're away from the location where your streaming service works, you can still keep up with your watch options (including the free ones) with the help of a VPN. Short for virtual private networks, VPNs are easy-to-use cybersecurity tools that let people change the virtual location on their electronic devices, so their go-to websites work from anywhere in the world. They're popular services for those looking to access their usual services and apps while traveling abroad or to upgrade their online security and privacy.
Our top recommendation is NordVPN, a tried-and-true service that's user-friendly (even for beginners) and offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. For a limited time, a new NordVPN deal will get you a free Amazon e-gift card when you sign up for select two-year plans. You can learn more about the service in our NordVPN review.
