Kids’ Ski Passport

Colorado Ski Country USA’s popular Kids’ Ski Passport is again available for the 2025-26 ski season to introduce the state’s youngsters to skiing and snowboarding with low-cost lift access at 19 Colorado ski areas, including Arapahoe Basin, Copper Mountain, Snowmass, Winter Park and more. The passport is good for four days of skiing at each of the resorts — $67 for Kindergarten to Grade 2 and $72 for Grades 3 to 6. (Price subject to change throughout the season.) By our calculations, kids could spend 76 days on the slopes for less than $1 per day. Weekend skiing is now allowed, save for a few holiday restrictions. History Colorado Center
On Aug. 1, 1876, President Grant made Colorado the Centennial State. History Colorado Center (1200 N. Parker Honey Festival
This Parker Honey Festival will be held on Aug. 3 at O’Brien Park (10795 Victorian Drive) from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Learn about the honeybee, bee-friendly plants and how honeybees make honey. Attendees can see hives up close, sample different kinds of honey, make a craft, try on a beekeeper’s suit and pick up lots of honey-focused items. Parade of Homes
The self-guided tour that is Parade of Homes features 55 newly designed and custom homes from Littleton to Castle Rock, Arvada to Aurora, as well as neighborhoods in between. The event runs Aug. 7 to 24, and admission is free. Loveland’s Sculpture in the Park

The 41st annual Sculpture in the Park, the largest outdoor juried sculpture show in the U.S., returns to Loveland Aug. 8-10. The show expands Loveland’s Benson Sculpture Garden with more than 2,000 sculptures created by 160 award-winning artists from around the globe. The event includes a ticketed Patron Party on Aug. 8, with the public show and sale on Aug. 9 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Aug. 10 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tickets are just $10 each day. Inflatables in the Park

This weekend's Lafayette Peach Festival will offer more than 30,000 pounds of peaches.
The Lafayette Peach Festival turns South Public Road, the town’s main street, into one peachy carnival on Aug. 16 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Peach trucks bring in more than 30,000 pounds of certified organic peaches from Palisade. Plus, satisfy your sweet tooth with more than 800 fresh peach pies and cobblers for sale, including individual servings, while supplies last. Boulder Tulip Giveaway
The city of Boulder is giving away free tulip bulbs starting Aug. 20 at various downtown businesses on a first-come, first-served basis. Businesses will have a poster in their window to indicate their participation. There are more than 5,500 bulbs in total to be given away, with about 15 bulbs per bag. While gates open at 9 a.m., many people line up much earlier, so be prepared for crowds.
