More details surrounding the man hailed a “hero” for tackling and disarming a gunman in the Bondi Beach shootings have been revealed by his family.
Fruit shop owner Ahmed Al Ahmed was at Bondi Beach on Sunday when two gunmen engaged in a terrorist attack on the Jewish community gathering to mark Hanukkah at the iconic tourist location.
16 people were killed, including one gunman, while 40 people were injured during the attack. Five remain in critical condition.
