Survivors of the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein have questioned why first lady Melania Trump unexpectedly made a speech denying having any kind of relationship with the sex offender.
It’s not clear what prompted the surprise statement from Melania on Thursday, with the first lady using the remarks to say that she wanted to clear her “good name.”
Epstein survivor Marina Lacerda questioned the first lady’s motives for speaking out. “It sounds like you’re just trying to shift attention from something to something else,” she said in a post on Instagram.
