Eberjey pajamas have built a loyal following for their soft fabrics, polished look, and gift-worthy appeal — but with prices that are noticeably higher than your average sleep set, they need to do more than just look nice in a box. I tested Eberjey pajamas to see whether they're actually worth the splurge, paying close attention to comfort, fit, quality, and how well they hold up over time. For anyone shopping for a thoughtful gift — or considering treating themselves — here's what to know before you buy.
I love waxing poetic about my love of pajamas. I wrote an article on the best nightgowns that you can also wear as a dress because I never want to step out of sleepwear, and I tested piles of silk sets (a difficult task, I know) for an article on the best silk pajamas. And after all my research, I keep returning to Eberjey.
Though most people love a good matching sweatsuit, I personally find that you can get much more sophisticated loungewear in the pajama category. And queen of them all is Eberjey's deliciously slippery washable silk sleepwear. They have lots of solid-color sets, but it's hard not to fall for the printed Inez set. I've discovered that it's actually practical to get printed silk, since the patterns hide any little stains or blemishes on the delicate fabric.
And while I'm a silk enthusiast, our former style editor, Remi Rosmarin, swears by the Gisele Tencel set —a buttery-soft style that even Oprah counts among her favorites.
All this to say, these pajamas make great gifts. I've recommended them (especially the silk set) to all of my friends' partners and put them in countless gift guides.
Here's why Eberjey makes some of the best pajamas for women.
Sam's Review of the Inez Washable Silk Long PJ Set
Samantha Crozier/Business Insider, Eberjey
I've tested many of the best silk pajamas, and these are some of the best. They're the long version of my favorite pajamas ever, the Inez Washable Silk Long PJ Set. And like the short set, it feels beautiful on my skin.
But as a petite person, I had to roll up the band on these a couple of times in order to prevent the pants from dragging on the floor. But the waistband is so comfortable that this didn't really bother me.
The only issue I had with these is the fact that they show liquid marks easily. When I did my skincare routine in these pajamas, I accidentally got moisturizer on the sleeve. Even when I wiped it off with water, you could still see the mark. It came off in the washer, but now I know that I have to be careful with food, serums, and anything else I may get on these. Unlike cotton pajamas, which you can easily remove spills from, these will absorb anything that isn't water until you give them a proper wash. But they're so worth it for the comfiness and luxuriousness.

These got our hard-won award for the best silk pajamas after I tested silk from a bunch of other brands. You can't beat Eberjey's fabric, which is beautifully billowy and cool to the touch.
It's made of 16 momme, grade 6A silk, which is some of the highest quality around. And one touch will tell you all you need to know about how luxurious this set is, especially compared to some of the lower-cost pajamas on this list. It's expensive, but you get what you're paying for.
I absolutely live in the Inez Washable Silk Short Set. It is so light and soft that it feels like silk is floating on my body. I got theprinted versionin the blue and white Wedgewood pattern (as an antique enthusiast, this little detail made it even more special).
I almost had to force myself to wear anything other than this set. The fit is perfect on me, and the fabric is pure luxury. But like all silk, it takes a little bit of effort to launder and de-wrinkle. However, this set makes it all worth it.
Gisele PJ Set
Eberjey
The Eberjey pajamas are surprisingly chic, soft, and classic. The lightweight modal jersey fabric feels like a second skin — it's silky smooth and drapes elegantly over your body for a fit that's cozy and flattering. The button-up front, breast pocket, and contrast piping give the Gisele PJs a timeless look that makes these just as good for lounging around the house as for sleeping.
Eberjey totally changed my perspective on fancy pajamas. Sure, ratty sweats are comfortable, but a nice pair of pajamas that look as good as they feel can make bedtime something worth celebrating. Light a candle, grab a book, or just turn on Netflix like you would any other night — chances are you'll feel better doing it in these classy and supremely comfortable pajamas.. — Remi Rosmarin, former style editor, Insider Reviews
FAQs
Are Eberjey pajamas worth it?
Yes — if you care most about soft, luxurious fabric and an elevated look, Eberjey pajamas are worth the splurge. In our testing, the brand's Inez washable silk sets stood out for their light, billowy feel and polished finish, while the Gisele set earned praise for its buttery-soft fabric and flattering drape. The biggest downsides are the higher price and, in the case of silk, the extra care they require.
Do Eberjey pajamas run true to size?
Based on our experience, Eberjey pajamas generally fit well, but petites may run into some length issues with the long silk pants. In testing, the waistband on the Inez Washable Silk Long PJ Set was comfortable enough to roll without ruining the fit, but shorter shoppers may still find the pants a bit long.
Are Eberjey silk pajamas easy to care for?
Eberjey's washable silk pajamas are easier to maintain than traditional silk, but they are not totally fuss-free. In our testing, the fabric showed marks from moisturizer and other liquids more easily than cotton, though the marks came out in the wash. They're also more high-maintenance when it comes to laundering and de-wrinkling, so they're best for shoppers who do not mind a little extra care.
What are Eberjey pajamas made of?
The standout silk styles in this review are made from 16 momme, grade 6A silk, which helps explain their especially smooth, cool-to-the-touch feel. The Gisele set uses a lightweight modal jersey fabric that feels soft and silky against the skin, making it a strong option if you want comfort without the upkeep of silk.
Are Eberjey pajamas a good gift?
Yes — Eberjey pajamas make an especially good gift if you want something that feels indulgent and practical at the same time. The brand offers classic silhouettes, pretty prints, and high-quality fabrics that feel more special than an average pajama set. Silk styles feel the most gift-worthy, while the Gisele set is a safer pick for someone who would prefer lower-maintenance sleepwear.
Are Eberjey pajamas a good Mother's Day gift?
Yes. Eberjey pajamas are a good Mother's Day gift for anyone looking to give something useful that still feels luxurious. A soft, well-made pajama set can feel more personal than a generic gift, especially for moms who appreciate comfort-focused presents.
