Dry Dock Brewing, which was founded in Aurora in 2005, said Monday that it will open a taproom in Denver’s Washington Park neighborhood, the first time the company has operated outside of its hometown. The new location will replace Dry Dock’s longtime spot at 15120 E. Hampden Ave., which will close permanently on Jan. 10, according to a statement.
The Dry Dock Pub will be open sometime this spring at 1101 S. Pearl St. in the former Pub on Pearl. The sports bar closed last August after 35 years in operation. Operations at the pub will be overseen by the Left Hand Brewing Collective, which was created in April 2025 following Dry Dock’s merger with 33-year-old Longmont-based Left Hand Brewing.
“We couldn’t be more excited about this location and the community that makes it so special,” Dry Dock co-founder Michelle Reding said in a statement. “We’re honored to carry forward the Pub’s legacy with a welcoming atmosphere while incorporating thematic Dry Dock elements that enhance the experience.”

Washington Park is a densely packed urban neighborhood with more foot traffic and a very different feel from the strip mall-style location where its taproom is now located. In addition, the new pub will serve “elevated pub fare” alongside more than a dozen taps from both breweries. There will also be a full bar, an outdoor patio, TVs, bar games and a stage for live music.
When it opened in 2005, Left Hand was the first brewery in Colorado to operate a taproom without food and without packaged beer — a model that eventually became the norm. In the 2010s, Dry Dock grew quickly on the strength of its IPAs and fruited beers, opening a huge production facility and a second Aurora taproom in 2013.
As craft beer sales leveled out nationwide, however, business began to slow, and Dry Dock closed its production facility in 2023. Its beers are now brewed and packaged at Left Hand.
