Safety experts have sounded the alarm on Donald Trump’s bizarre plan to outfit his proposed triumphal arch with snipers, ammunition storage, and drones.
The president announced in a social media post over the weekend that the tacky new 250-foot monument he’s planning would be a “top-grade Military Complex/Triumphal Arch, to house, store, and have the rapid ability to use large numbers of drones, plus Snipers.”
For nearly a year, Trump has presented the arch, which would be located in Memorial Circle between Arlington National Cemetery and the Lincoln Memorial, as a tourist attraction with a ticket office, viewing decks, and a family restroom.
