Donald Trump informed Pam Bondi that her days as attorney general were over during their car ride to the Supreme Court on Wednesday.
“I think it’s time,” Trump told Bondi, The Wall Street Journal reported.
The president had decided to fire her earlier this week. Bondi, 60, had been in the role for 14 months—the shortest tenure of a confirmed attorney general since 1975. She later asked if she could stay on until the summer, but Trump said no.
