Begin Text:

The Seventh U.S.-ASEAN Cyber Policy Dialogue was held in Singapore on October 13, 2026. The dialogue continues to demonstrate the strong partnership and vision for enhanced cybersecurity that underpins our shared security and economic prosperity.

The United States and ASEAN Member States built on last year’s dialogue, reaffirming the importance of aligning national cyber strategies and fostering a deeper commitment to coordinated CERT-to-CERT information sharing to address pertinent cybersecurity issues, including countering cybercrime and scams. The need to focus on cybersecurity as a core pillar of national security for all Member States was discussed, as threats to shared critical infrastructure and the new risks posed by emerging technology-enabled malicious cyber activity is accelerating the threat. They also welcomed continued dialogue with the private sector to detect, disrupt, and recover from adversary cyber campaigns, recognizing direct coordination with the private sector as essential to collective cyber defense.

Participants committed to exploring the possible convening of the Eighth U.S.-ASEAN Cyber Policy Dialogue in 2027 on the sidelines of Singapore International Cyber Week. The participants also looked forward to further discussions at the 2027 ASEAN Digital Ministers’ meeting.
