A CNN panel broke out into uncontrollable laughter after a conservative commentator delivered a “cringe” assessment.
The awkward exchange unfolded during a discussion on NewsNight with Abby Phillip on Wednesday regarding whether denying President Joe Biden’s 2020 election victory has become a prerequisite for securing a post in the Trump administration.
Phillip initiated the segment by broadcasting footage of three Trump judicial nominees dodging direct questions about who actually won the 2020 race. The clip featured Senator Cory Booker, a Democrat from New Jersey, shouting, “Be your own man!” as nominee Adam Candeub repeatedly refused to offer a simple yes-or-no response. Two other nominees, John Cronan and Gregory Cook, similarly danced around the issue.
