Furnishing your home can get expensive, whether you've recently moved into a new place, are hoping to redecorate, or are an amateur interior designer after the thrill of a great find. The end of the year is a great time to save on these big-ticket items, and the Black Friday deals are starting earlier than ever, giving you the chance to save early and beat the end-of-year delivery rush.
As the home editor on BI's Reviews team, I've spent years covering Black Friday furniture deals. I love staying on top of the best places to buy furniture online and seeing who's besting their own previous offers. I spent hours combing through the early home sales to find the most enticing deals and seasonal offers.
The Black Friday furniture sales I'm shopping first that are live now:
- Branch: Branch is sponsoring your home office refresh with 20% off its best standing desks and office chairs, which is better than last year's promotion.
- Koala: This Australian furniture company makes one of the cutest, small-space-friendly sofabeds and more robust-sized modular couches, and their Black Friday Sale just kicked off with up to $1,500 off.
- Wayfair: In the lead-up to Black Friday, Wayfair's Daily Deals shift ever so slightly, but I know I'll find deep discounts across a broad selection of affordable furniture. If the choice feels too overwhelming, one of my Wayfair shopping tips is to browse Wayfair Verified for a more curated selection of vetted products.
- Ruggable:Washable rugs are a must-have for hosting. You don't have to fret if a guest leaves their shoes on or spills that glass of wine. Plus, if you like to swap out your rugs to match the festive season, several holiday styles are 40% off, and other collabs, like Jonathan Adler and Morris & Co., are in the 20% range.
- Serena & Lily: I love Serena & Lily's California cool luster. While these forever-style pieces are an investment for your home, the Sale of the Year sweetens the pot with up to 40% off almost everything, including the rattan Riviera chairs that are on my wishlist.
One thing to note is that some furniture, especially made-to-order items, can take a while to ship. It's important to check delivery dates if you need a piece to arrive before the holidays. Some retailers, like Crate & Barrel, are advertising a November 17 shipping cutoff for in-stock items to arrive before Thanksgiving.

Black Friday furniture sales FAQs
Is Black Friday a good time to buy furniture?
Absolutely. Black Friday is a great time to buy new furniture; some may even say it's the best time of the year. Many retailers offer all-time low prices on sofas, bed frames, and dining tables. We've seen savings up to 80%. Other shopping holidays, like Labor Day and Memorial Day, can also have good deals, but they are often not as substantial as Black Friday.
How soon can I have my furniture delivered?
This depends on where you order from and the type of furniture you are purchasing. Custom and made-to-order pieces can take a few months to ship, while pieces from mass-market stores may arrive in just a few days. Pay attention to expected delivery timelines, which are often posted on each individual product page. If you're in a hurry to receive furniture, some brands also offer ready-to-ship sections to expedite delivery.
