This could be because last-gen models are already stored here, so they won't incur the increased tariff amounts, whereas the newest models may still be shipping here from overseas. "I've been tracking cleaning deals since Prime Day began," said Kinsley Searles, an associate editor on the home team. "I've been especially impressed with the steep discounts on Shark and Dyson vacuums, many of which are hundreds of dollars off and at the lowest prices we've seen all year."

Our picks for the best cleaning deals are pretty much all in the vacuum category, though you'll find some deals on other household essential cleaning staples like dish soap, laundry detergent, and bathroom cleaners.

"October is a challenge for us dry skin warriors," writes senior associate editor Gabrielle Chase, acknowledging that October Prime Day is a great time to stock up on skincare products that support the transition to cooler weather. There are also a lot of shoes on sale right now, and even some pieces that are great if you have a laid-back dress code at work. "My personal favorite deal is the Levi's Trucker jacket — it's a classic menswear staple that's easy to style and layer." He also noted that there are a ton of deals on essentials like socks and underwear right now. "It's always a good idea to stock up while they're on sale."

Holiday travel is almost upon us, and Prime Day is one of the last opportunities to score deals on luggage before the Thanksgiving rush. "There aren't a ton of great discounts on rolling luggage this Prime Day, but a lot of our favorite backpacks, totes, and personal items are on sale," said Lauren.
