1 dead, 2 injured in 4-car crash near Quincy Reservoir

Aurora officers responded to the crash near the intersection of East Quincy Avenue and South Uravan Street just before 4:30 p.m. Sunday, according to the police department.

At least one person died and two others were injured in a four-car crash Sunday afternoon near Aurora’s Quincy Reservoir, police said.

Aurora officers responded to a crash near the intersection of East Quincy Avenue and South Uravan Street just before 4:30 p.m. Sunday, according to a news release from the police department.

One unidentified victim died from their injuries at the scene of the crash and paramedics took two others to the hospital, police said in the release. It’s unclear how many people were in the crash.

As of 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Quincy was closed in both directions between Uravan Street and Pitkin Street for the crash cleanup and investigation, police said.

Investigators plan to reconstruct the crash to figure out what caused it, police said.
