Residents can now own a piece of Atlantic City’s most iconic landmarks — but it doesn't come without a hefty price tag.
The Steel Pier, a longtime staple of Atlantic City’s famous Boardwalk, has hit the market for $85 million, giving a potential buyer the opportunity to own more than five acres of oceanfront property stretching directly into the Atlantic Ocean.
Located along the world-famous Atlantic City Boardwalk, the Steel Pier is being marketed as a rare development opportunity that combines oceanfront property, entertainment space and more than a century of history.
The property offers something almost impossible to find on the East Coast: true oceanfront acreage with the rights to build on it, along with a built-in helipad, previously approved condo-hotel plans and more than a century of history.

The pier structure is 150 feet wide and 965 feet long and is anchored 90 feet into bedrock that remained intact during Superstorm Sandy.
The approximately 40,000-square-foot front building, including the skybridge and roof, has an easement into the adjacent Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, providing access to the casino’s convention floor. The property also allows for a 25% expansion of the existing pier footprint.
In 2008, the property was approved and permitted for a condo-hotel entertainment complex, potentially giving a new owner several options for the property's future.

SERHANT has been named the exclusive sales and marketing agency for the property, with the listing led by Michele Zyska, Kevin Bergin and Ryan Serhant.

The Steel Pier dates back to 1897, when construction began. It officially opened in 1898.
At its peak, the pier stretched nearly 2,300 feet into the Atlantic and was once billed as the "Showplace of the Nation," drawing crowds during Atlantic City’s heyday as a major American leisure destination and home to the nation’s first boardwalk.
The landmark was rebuilt with steel-reinforced concrete in the late 1980s as part of plans that included a 15-story hotel complex.
Over the years, the Steel Pier has also attracted the entertainment industry, serving as a filming location for movies including The Long Kiss Goodnight, The Bounty Hunter and Five Dollars a Day, as well as television shows such as Cake Boss and My Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
Today, the Steel Pier operates as a classic Jersey Shore-style amusement park, featuring rides, entertainment, food and beverage offerings and special events.
The opportunity comes as Atlantic City enters a new era of development and investment.
Atlantic City’s casino industry generated roughly $1.1 billion in taxes and fees in 2025, a nearly 25% increase over the prior year, according to a press release.
Since the start of 2026, the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority has approved 14 community grants totaling nearly $1.8 million.
