Today, theU.S. governmentannounced $40 million tosupportthe International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT)—a globally regarded agricultural research institution—drivinginnovationsthat directlybenefitU.S. producers.At CIMMYT, scientists are developingdrought and heat tolerantwheat and corn, strengthening early warning systems for crop disease, and building innovation hubs that help farmers produce more with fewer resources.
