Is Korean skincare better than other skincare?
Skincare can be very subjective, especially since everyone has different needs. Personally, I have very sensitive, combination, normal-to-dry skin — my product requirements differ wildly from those of a shopper trying to address oiliness or acne breakouts.
That said, Korean skincare, like products made in the US, Europe, or otherwise, offers treatments for a variety of problems, from wrinkles to redness. It's hard to say that it's better all around, but plenty of users, including several of us on the Insider Reviews team, can vouch for their favorite brands. Laneige, one of the biggest names in the business, is one of them, as we explain in our Laneige review. In my personal experience, I also love the gentle redness relief of Anua's Heartleaf Toner and the lightweight moisture of CosRX eye patches.
In short, all skincare products have the potential to be good, but it ultimately depends on what you're looking for.
